The Pentecost
Acts 2 — the Day of Pentecost, the birthday of the Christian Church and the outpouring of the gift of holy spirit. Fiery turbulent strokes of crimson, bronze, gold, orange, and yellow surge upward, vividly capturing the “cloven tongues like as of fire.” These flames meet a luminous realm of white and glowing yellow, symbolizing God’s grace and faithfulness. At the center, an embedded fragment of Acts 2:1-4 (KJV) from my heirloom Bible (passed down from generations) anchors the piece.
